Katika sehemu yangu ya uwakilishi Bungeni ya Galole, kuna sehemu ambazo ziko umbali wa kilomita 200 kutoka mjini Hola, kama vile Waldena, Wayu, Chifiri na Haroresa. • 15 May 2013 in National Assembly: THAT, aware that the number of girls dropping out of school is very high in the arid and semi arid areas (ASALs) because of the limited number of schools in these areas; concerned that most of the girls dropping out of school opt for early marriages thus affecting the education standards of the girl child; noting that the lack of boarding schools in most of these areas has greatly contributed to increased number of school drop outs, this House urges the Government to establish girl boarding schools for both primary and secondary in all ASAL areas. view

• 8 May 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you hon. Deputy Speaker. My names are hon. Hassan Dukicha, Member of Parliament for Galole, Tana River County. I rise to support this Bill, but I have these few remarks to make. The Jubilee Government promised in their manifesto that 40 per cent of the national income will be put in the devolved government, and now the question is: If the county government or the governor is going to pay salaries for their staff with this little money, how come places that have been marginalized since Independence - like Galole - do not have even one institution or college? ... view

• 8 May 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, with regard to committees, let us put our differences aside. The interests of the people of Kenya are much more important than us. Hon. Members, Kenyan people have given us the mandate and they are watching us. Let us be responsible, regardless of our political affiliation. Let us have sober minds and sit together as brothers and leaders and sort out our problems in this House. view
