  • 12 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to strongly support this Motion. I want to state from the start that I am happy to have been the Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports when the National Youth Council was established in 2009. I want to really appreciate the hon. Members who supported me, as the Minister in charge of youth affairs at that time, to move the Motion that eventually resulted in the establishment of the National Youth Council. I would like to single you out as one of the people who supported me that famous ... view
  • 12 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I am really proud of you! So, I was going to suggest that, because I do not want to take all the time, we need to support this. The boda boda young people we have and many of them get accidents and suffer, can we support them? Can we give them helmets? Can we train them properly so that they do not suffer? • 3 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this amendment. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is important to allow people to have freedom of association. I want to use myself as an example. If the elections law was not good during the 2007 General Elections, I would not be here. It is important to allow people to associate freely. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I support this amendment. view
  • 23 Feb 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand here to support the extension of the time for discussing this issue. This issue of land, as my colleagues have said, is extremely critical and we are dealing with it for the future of this country. I support that we get the extended time so that we can do justice to this issue of land. That is because we had problems in the past and the most serious issue that affects our people is land. So, I stand here to support the extension of the time for discussing this issue. view
