Hon. Deputy Speaker, TSC advertised to fill vacancies in its membership in September 2012. Consequently, 11 candidates for the position of member of Commission and five for chairperson were shortlisted and interviewed in October 2012.   • 16 May 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, capacity has always been an excuse in determining and describing the performance of our police force. I am aware that in Western Province, insecurity has been initiated by rogues and thugs wielding machetes. Our police force is equipped; I do not think they are ill equipped to the advantage of those wielding machetes. I feel that there are issues beyond capacity affecting the performance of our police force. I think that has something to do with promotions within the police force.
