  • 3 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I rise to oppose this amendment by the Committee for very simple reasons. I think we are trying to over-protect the State. It goes to negate almost all the other five provisions of that clause. If we say that proceedings can go on when there is no legal representation, what comes in mind is this: If an injustice were to occur because you have no representation, then it is double- speak.
