  • 26 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is quite a good topic and I want to thank the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government for the Statement. While I agree with everything that the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government has said, how far has the Office of the Prime Minister gone with the pledge which was made to the Members of Parliament to channel the KKV funds through the CDF or through the constituencies for ease of supervision and success? view
  • 25 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg your indulgence because both the Minister and the Assistant Minister are out of the country on official duty. Could we, kindly, reschedule this Question to next week? view
  • 25 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you. view
  • 7 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this Motion. view
  • 7 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: There is nothing to negotiate between the teachers and the Government. The Government must obey the law. We passed that teachers be employed and, therefore, I want to say as a representative of the people of Gem, that teachers are doing the right thing. I want to tell them that they can only bend an iron when it is hot. This iron is hot. It has even been said that monies were used to pay taxes for Members of Parliament ... view

Slash an additional Kshs2.5 billion from the one which is stashed away in the military and employ teachers. There is nothing to negotiate. view
  • 7 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to support. view
  • 1 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it right for the hon. Member to insinuate that the Deputy Speaker has been sabotaging the functions of the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs? Is that really proper? view
  • 26 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I rise to oppose the amendment. I understand the fear of hon. Members. I think at some point in this country, we will have to wake up to the fact that we have adopted a pure presidential system. We have to do this fundamentally. I thought the best way to do this would be to have those people who are running for Presidency on party lists, so that we can say that, despite running for Presidency, you will still stay in your party list. If you do not make it, you still find your way ... view
  • 26 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: I accept it! view
