Thank you for giving me this opportunity. I stand to support the Motion. It is a very fundamental Motion in this nation. It is not an issue of NASA or Jubilee. All of us in this august House represent Kenyans. We are elected by the people of Kenya. This Motion reminds us of something. One, it reminds us that we have to prepare for elections on 26thOctober between Jubilee and NASA. We need to be patient. This date was not decided by Hon. Lomenen or the Speaker or the President. It was decided by the IEBC, which is constitutional. So, ...

mobilising and winning and NASA is specialised in not accepting defeat and going to the streets. Kenyans are watching what you are doing. Kenya is not for NASA or Jubilee. Kenya is for all of us. All our children and families are inside one boat. So, this boat cannot be driven by one person. We have to decide the fate of Kenyans all of us, whether in NASA or in Jubilee. We do not have any other nation to go to. We have only this nation called Kenya. So, whether you decide for war, we will all suffer. In fact, ...

Thank you, Hon. Speaker for this opportunity. First and foremost, I want to congratulate you for being our Speaker for the second time. It is only your election that has not been petitioned and we are so happy. We are always worried when Jubilee wins because we expect many petitions. After 17th October, we will expect more petitions. I hear that people have already prepared petitions in big volumes. However, I think we will win by a landslide. Hon. Speaker, I stand to tell Kenyans that we have trust in our President. Since he has shown maturity after the verdict ...

Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for this opportunity. I think Turkana is the farthest corner in this nation. If it does not talk, the nation has not spoken. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the Speaker on his re-election, without forgetting the wonderful people of Turkana South who gave me a second opportunity of being in this Parliament. They also gave me an opportunity to elect the Speaker who is seated before us. I thank them and I ask God to continue sustaining them in Turkana until the time Jesus comes. May I also take this opportunity to thank ...

I want to be sincere and tell members of the Opposition who are here: It is not possible for a civilian to stop me from taking oath. Raila is a civilian. He did not win the election. How can he stop Members who were given a mandate from coming for swearing-in? It is unconstitutional. I have come here to represent the people of Turkana Central.

Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I stand to support the Petition of Hon. Nakuleu concerning the infrastructure between Turkana Central and Turkana North Constituency. Two weeks ago, we had a by-election at Kalokol. It was very difficult for us to connect from Kalokol to Turkana North. Even when we were in danger of facing bullets, it was difficult for us as we were seeking to rescue some people. It was very difficult because where we were shot at near the river, we wanted to escape. There were so many jerricans which---

Hon. Speaker, the two apply. The person who was shooting had the intention of shooting at us. But he missed at a close range. Hon. Speaker, sincerely speaking, the infrastructure along that region requires urgent intervention. Residents of those areas walk long distances to access services. You will find women traveling long distances carrying water and children because of poor infrastructure. In that area, traders do not have vehicles. A few of them have Probox cars. through such a road and yet, we expect them to improve their businesses. We are therefore calling upon the Government to take it as a serious issue. We have agreed with the residents that, as the representative of the people, if we cannot improve that infrastructure, there is no way the residents can trust us as their representatives. There is no way they can trust the Government. So, we are calling upon our Government to do something because we have trust that it will listen to us. It should not listen to other people. It should listen to us because ...
