In my own constituency, we put up a facility with CDF money on the recommendation of the District Commissioner (DC). Is he in order to tell us that when we have used public funds? We have evidence that we consulted the DC. So, he should provide us with askaris. view

In the first place, they allocated Kshs60 million and now Kshs150 million which is insufficient. Could he be categorical and say whether they are committed to do the road and how much it would cost to complete the project? view

• 18 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I think the Minister should have listened to the question raised earlier on. It is not a question of whether the KRA is not capable or not. He has been requested to ascertain that the authority and proper procedures were followed to get the KRA collect, as an agent of Government, funds for the same Government. Could he be clear? Since the Minister has no documents, the Question should be deferred. view

In particular, I have in mind Muranga Municipality that has been handling many accidents along the Nyeri- Sagana Road. Could he confirm that Muranga Municipality will be among the ones that will be getting those fire engines? view

The Assistant Minister has given a very brief list and most of the hospitals and health centers that have been rehabilitated or reconstructed have not been considered for a long time for this equipment. I can give you an example. We have rehabilitated Murirenja Hospital in my own constituency. The theatre is ready but there is no equipment over a year ago. What action is he taking to ensure that all those that have had renovations in the entire country receive the necessary equipment? view

Is he in order to mislead this House that the Government takes care of the insfrastructure in tea growing areas? The farmers do the roads. The farmers are suppling power. Is he in order to mislead this House that the small scale tea growing farmer will benefit out of this while we know it is the farmer who is providing all these services by himself? view
