  • 8 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. The Question here is about burial and not subdivision of land! Will he be in order not to answer the Question under those circumstances? view
  • 7 Dec 2011 in National Assembly: The Assistant Minister avoided answering the question on the action the Ministry is taking to address the shortage of fuel, including diesel, which affects the ordinary farmers. What steps is the Ministry taking to address this shortage that is affecting even farmers? view
  • 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. First, the Assistant Minister should correct this because Mbagathi has been a hospital all these years. It is only that it was not meant to be a general hospital. Could he tell the House whether what they are doing is repairing or rehabilitating the hospital because it is in dire need of a new face? Could he also tell the House what the acreage of the hospital is? view
  • 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, first, I want to congratulate Dr. Otichillo. I also want to thank the Minister for allowing us to contribute. I have a few points that, probably, would show that I appreciate the request for information. Last time, I asked a Question here about an airstrip in Murang’a, yet the Minister could not locate it. We had to go out literally and look for it. With this kind of information available, the Government will be able to accelerate planning. • 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: We have been talking about security in our country. Do we have enough information? Do we know which roads and routes are accessible by our forces? In supporting this Motion, I would like to request the Government to take it seriously and carry out implementation without delay. With those few remarks, I support the Motion. view
  • 29 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, when you travel to Mwea area, you find that most of the small-scale farmers are hawking rice by the roadside. Would that have to wait for the Government for the project to be upgraded, so that they can buy? Why would you not make effort and buy what has already been produced to support the farmers? Why do they have the economic stimulus programmes if what we have today the Government cannot cater for the farmers? view
  • 24 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Right from the beginning, the Attorney-General misunderstood this matter. Is he in order to tell the House that the Government is supposed to pay anyone? There are people who are supposed to be charged and then the Government would use--- Is he in order to protect the people about whom a report has been brought here by the Committee? Is he in order? view
  • 24 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
  • 23 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Attorney-General has admitted that rumours can also be investigated. The Member for Naivasha has raised the issue of two persons who are illegally occupying properties which are owned by other people, even if it was a rumor. Rumor has it that there are very many people in Nairobi who are occupying houses which do not belong to them in various estates. Could the Attorney-General investigate these rumours? Five years down the line, there are people who are still occupying houses which do not belong to them in Nairobi. view
  • 23 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, could he take it up and investigate these rumours, so that those people who occupy other people’s property can be taken to court? view
