Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 17 of the Bill be amended (a) by deleting the words “fundraising appeal” appearing in the opening sentence and substituting therefor the words “public collection”; (b) by inserting the following new paragraph immediately after paragraph (b) “(ba) soliciting or receiving subscriptions, donations, bequests, endowment funds, gifts and grants that are authorised under the Universities Act or any other written law”. view
