  • 19 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. First of all, I would like to thank Kenyans of all levels for their concerns and responses towards this issue. The truth is that there is hunger in this country. We cannot deny that. We must speak it out but we must not play with this issue. We should not bring politics into the lives of people. We should discuss this issue soberly so that we can get solutions without blame games. We can get a way forward. • 19 Mar 2019 in National Assembly: First of all, we have experts in this country who should be advising the Government on disasters of all kinds. However, when our experts fail to advise the Government on such a matter, it is a disease that we need to treat. When we come together as a nation, we must think on how many times the problem has occurred in our country and find a permanent solution to it. We must come up with a way that can stop this from happening again. I agree with the Members who said that we have allocated a lot of money to ... view

  • 20 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I just want to mention few things that delocalisation has done to this country. Though we want this country to be one, there are some things that we do not want to risk. When TSC employed new teachers and took them to places where they knew no one and did not have any connections or did not get salaries, they really suffered. Secondly, it the constitutional right of the officials of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) to remain where they are in order to serve teachers, but when you take an official to another place, ... view
  • 20 Feb 2019 in National Assembly: So, delocalisation is not good for now. We need a good arrangement. Build houses for the teachers, prepare the security then take them there. view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I would like to seek your intelligence over this issue. We came purposely for this agenda. Whenever a Member speaks, he gets out. We may remain with few Members and we may not pass this Special Motion. view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: I was asking if you can allow us to approve this Special Motion because the Members are getting out after they contribute, and they will be very few to approve it. view
