For us to make a mark or pass the leadership baton to the generation that will come after us, these are the things that we need to do. When they come here, they will say that our father was a Member of Parliament and he passed a law that has made us come here – whether by nomination or election. They will remember me. view

Some have given proposals on how to tackle this problem. According to the statistics given here by African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) Health Africa, Kenyans who suffer from fistula are 6 million in this country. Imagine that! Six million women in this country are suffering from fistula. Those who visit Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) know that men are at 10 per cent of those patients. Other regional bodies like the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the Southern African Development Community ( SADC), European Union (EU) and the Economic Community of West African States ( ECOWAS) have done very well in their regions.
