  • 18 Feb 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to say something as I support this Bill. At the outset, this is a very important Bill. It is timely because it is coming to repeal an archaic piece of legislation and, more so, to comply with the 2010 Constitution. The main thing that makes me to support this Bill is contained in Section 5(e). The main function of the National Library Service is to encourage or promote the reading culture for knowledge information, so that public interests can be stimulated.
