  • 28 Dec 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I will be brief. I take this opportunity to thank you and the House for exhibiting maturity in today’s business. Allow me to thank you for what happened today. Kenyans are proud of what has been witnessed in the Senate. My contribution on this matter is that, as we accept the Committee on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to join this Committee, I request that we allow the Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations to also join them because of the threats we are getting on the ICT installations. There are many external and internal threats ... view
  • 16 Jun 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I support this Petition. I live in Kitengela, Kajiado County. For the last 15 years, I have seen Kitengela and Kajiado grow. The people of Kajiado will thank the Member for introducing this Petition because they have suffered problems of infrastructure and security. This mainly affects the rural and peri- urban population of Kajiado. Kitengela Town, for example, was poorly designed for passengers and traffic. It takes a motorist four hours to reach Nairobi from Kitengela. I leave at 5.00 a.m. and arrive here at 9.00 a.m. Kitengela alone will take someone two hours because the road ... view

  • 12 Apr 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I congratulate Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale for making such a statement. It is important because we are going to the general elections and unless we avoid violence, Kakamega County has set a precedent that this country should not be allowed to continue with. If a matter like this erupts with all the guns that people have in some of those areas where we come from, it can be a disaster. I know FORD-Kenya is a peaceful party, but from the time the Governor of Kakamega decided FORD-Kenya will not launch Sen. Wetangula’s presidential bid, I started smelling a ... view
  • 12 Apr 2016 in Senate: I know that night Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale had a bigger struggle with the FORD-Kenya party there, organizing this event. We must sit as FORD-Kenya to really think about this matter --- view

  • 30 Mar 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am repetitive to you. However, to the Members it is information they need. It is very important that we address the matter in Turkana. Nevertheless, I will end there. The petitioners pray that:- 1. The Senate urgently investigates the issues raised in this petition and comes up with appropriate recommendations to address the issues raised in it. The petitioners request the EACC to carry out a special audit into the accounts of Turkana County Government for the period of March 2013 to date. The audit ... view
