If I heard the Chair of the Departmental Committee on Lands correctly, he said that KARI is still in possession of the land, but a number of pieces of land have been sold. Could he clarify what he means by saying that KARI is still in possession of this particular piece of land, yet the same land is said to have been disposed of? I rise to request for a Statement pursuant to Standing Order 44(2)(c) from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology regarding pregnancies of primary school girls, specifically 18 in Chepkurkur Primary School in Mount Elgon Constituency as reported in both the electronic and print media in May and June this year, 2013. My concern is that, as a Member of Parliament who is representing his Constituency in this country, whose interest is he representing? Is he representing the Somali interest or the Kenyan interest? view
