  • 26 Mar 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, by accepting the amendment that he is trying to move, are we not trying to negate what we have already passed? We have already withdrawn the flag from the governors and Cabinet Secretaries. So, which other citizens is he referring to? view

  • 20 Mar 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman for recognizing me after I had made several requests. I oppose the deletion because it talks of having been satisfied. So, certain facts actually have to be presented before a court before the court issues such an order. So, for purposes of procreation, I oppose it. view
  • 4 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, as much as I appreciate the response from the Chair as far as Chuka Town is concerned, I want to request him to tell the House what is happening to the GOK funded projects which are ongoing in terms of tarmacking. I have roads in my constituency which were started way back in 2007, which have stalled and there is no word from the Ministry as to what is happening. view
  • 4 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Chair of the Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing should all the time be prepared to answer at least, supplementary questions. view
  • 20 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I understand the Wednesday morning session to be for the Private Members’ Motions. This refers to independent candidates just like hon. Serut. I am the only person and three others, who can oppose this Procedural Motion. But because of the urgency in passage of these Bills before us, I want to support that we proceed to deal with the Bills before us. With that, I support. view
  • 19 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I do not agree with the Chairman of the Committee on Delegated Legislation. We seem to be moving back to the mainstream of the Government; that is the Ministry. Why do we not retain the CDF manager if we want to use the CDF facilities? That is because we have two officers from the same Ministry. We have an officer for youth affairs and we have one for women affairs. Does it mean that we are going to appoint one of them and disregard the other? That is the question before us. view
  • 13 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, as you know, I am the Member of Parliament for Mount Elgon. I think the Member of Parliament who is on the Floor, hon. Jakoyo Midiwo, is misleading the House because there was no mention that KDF raped those girls. The suspects are known and I have requested the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology to go to Mount Elgon and collect facts about that issue and especially on one of the girls who was in Standard Four. The suspects are known. view
