  • 13 Apr 2022 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, you know cows are herded by human beings. They cannot move on their own from Garissa to Athi River. There must be someone walking them around. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 13 Apr 2022 in National Assembly: So, this Bill is very important. In terms of immigration and borders, restrictions must continue because we must safeguard our country. As I said earlier, people have been taking Kenya for granted and that is why we have been seeing all these Al Shabaab. People just walk freely into our country. Remember many Kenyans have lost their lives due to porous border points. So, the Huduma Namba will help in security. We want to live safely. We do not want to be killed like the Garissa University students and other Kenyans who have lost their lives and their loved ones. ... view
  • 6 Apr 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance. I rise to support this Bill. It is timely. If we as a House pass it, it is going to help this country. There are people in this country who are poor and they suffer, but they do not get proper medical care. It is due to lack of resources or finances. This Bill is considering so many issues that it can solve for us as a nation. Cancer is the main killer these days. I do not know whether it is because of the food that ... view

  • 1 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to contribute to this presidential speech. At the outset, I thank the President for yesterday’s Address. He touched on almost every corner of this country and every department. He talked about roads and infrastructure. I agree with the President that the Jubilee government has done a lot in terms of infrastructure. Roads are open almost everywhere. When you go to Kwale, Lodwar, Migori or Garissa, you will find tarmacked roads. He also talked of Level 4 hospitals for the Defence Forces. It is good that I used to belong ... view
  • 1 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: The President spoke about industry and housing. Uniformed officers have had housing problems. Yesterday, the President mentioned efforts that he has put in place to make sure the military and police officers have modern equipment to take care of security in the country. He promised that he will not let go even an inch of this country. He mentioned that following the recent ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding the Somalia border. He stood firm and said he would not let even an inch to be interfered with. As the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, he should ... view

  • 23 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to contribute to the County Governments Grants Bill. We need to give money to our counties. Indeed, devolution has done a good in this country. We can commend a few counties because we have seen their development and progress, but many are mismanaged. They misuse funds and grants just like allocations from the National Treasury. Let me take this opportunity to thank the Jubilee Government. People who do not know may say that the Jubilee Government has not done many developments as they promised. However, I want ... view
  • 23 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: that we have in this country, I think we can move to another level. As I said, many requirements are not there in the facilities that the common mwananchi expects to see or use in the village. I support this Bill, but with very little support because we want the money to go to the counties. We need it. I need it in Bungoma. We cannot oppose the Bill, but I support it with reservations and say that people are supposed to look after the money in county governments, right from the governor to the common officer who is supposed ... view
