Directors of any institution, be it a company or a parastatal, are important. We have directors in different companies but some have not been trained to understand their roles properly. This Bill will bring good changes on the quality of directors in these institutions. Elections have caused deaths of innocent children who were not supposed to die. Because of bad governance, elections and people with interests, we lost so many people in 2007 and partly in 2017. We will not impress some people by saying that we need to increase the selection panel from nine to 11 yet we are talking about reducing the wage bill.
