Mary Emaase for bringing this Bill to the House so that we fight and make sure that we revive all the ginneries in the country that had collapsed. Farmers are ready. Last year, people from Sirisia where I come from and Teso North harvested 65,000 tonnes of cotton. • 28 Feb 2024 in National Assembly: The only problem is that cotton seeds are not available. They were there last year but not this year. We need to ask the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to make the seeds available. We know that they are imported. It is easy to grow cotton. It is planted on the second season in Western Kenya. By then, we will have harvested all the food crops that we need. It is used to make bar soaps and animal feeds. Police officers in the USA do not chase drivers on the roads, or detain a driver for hours by taking their driving license or car keys like they do in Kenya. In the USA, they use closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and people obey the traffic rules. When the lights indicate that cars should stop, all drivers obey the rules and stop.
