  • 3 Oct 2023 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to contribute to this Motion. We are all proud of Kenya Airways as the pride of Africa. Since I came to this Parliament, the Government has given many billions to Kenya Airways to try and revive it. We need to call a spade a spade if we want to save it. The money is taken by some people. We need to tell you the truth so that we can save this country. There are big people who siphon money from Kenya Airways the way they did to Kenya ... view

  • 27 Sep 2023 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker for giving me a chance to contribute to this very important Report. First, I support the Committee and thank the Chair and his Committee for bringing up this matter although it is not on time. Hon. Temporary Speaker, tough action must be taken on the issues raised in this serious Report. For many years, some public officers have taken the law lightly without thinking. The only money that is used on roads in our constituencies is KeRRA money. The roads are passable because of this money. The 15 per cent that was given to the ... view

  • 27 Sep 2023 in National Assembly: nowhere to be seen. Their roads are impassable. That is why in some areas, like where I come from, we worked on the roads with KeRRA and later on, the county governments came and took over those roads. For the last 10 years, those roads have not seen even a grader to grade them, and governors are still looking for money from KeRRA to make sure that they eat it. The little Ksh100 million or Ksh200 million can be seen in terms of work done but the billions of shillings that are given to the county governments every year are ... view

  • 24 Aug 2023 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me this chance to also contribute to this because our sons are being killed. From the onset, I support this Motion and thank Hon. Mary Emaase for bringing it here. view
  • 24 Aug 2023 in National Assembly: These killings have been there for a very long time. Some time back, this was the order of the day in Bungoma. The security apparatus seriously looked into this and traced the killers. When the bodaboda riders were killed, their motorcycles were found in Mombasa. The motorcycle engines were used on the boats. Now this has moved to Turkana. The Government must take action to protect these young bodaboda riders who struggle to take care of their families due to lack of employment in our country. view
  • 24 Aug 2023 in National Assembly: The bodaboda industry contributes greatly to our Gross Domestic Product. This industry contributes close to Ksh10 billion annually to the economy and, therefore, they must be protected. The role of the police is to take care of the Kenyan people and their property. The police have failed in this and hence people have been killed as Hon. Emaase has indicated. Bodaboda riders are being killed almost every day yet we have police in Busia County. We cannot say that the security apparatus are not there. view
