First, I thank the Chairperson and the entire membership of the Committee because they have done a marvellous job. I applaud the initiative of the leadership of this House, under the stewardship of the Speaker, for dividing the PIC into three. It has made Parliament’s work very efficient. • 8 Aug 2023 in National Assembly: At some point, I was a member of the Committee on Implementation and I witnessed some of these things. Once we have debated and passed this Report, the Committee on Implementation should take the initiative to ensure that what we have passed is implemented. The Committee is letting Kenyans down. Kenyans need to have value for their money because they pay taxes. Currently, it is hard to get money; Kenyans are hard hit. From what we have seen, many of us do not pay tax in this country. This is the only way to go about it. I believe that our country is now coming up. The digital space will help this country to collect enough revenue from every corner and reduce borrowing from outside. I want to thank the Member who has brought this very important Motion. I rise to support it. Talking of the Competency-Based Curriculum, I think our Constitution has a lapse. • 22 Jun 2023 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support the Petitioners. We have a lot of hope in this Government that roads and infrastructure is going to be done. We passed a Motion here in 2016 for the tarmacking of about 20 kilometres of roads in every constituency. It started in some constituencies, but in others it has not been done. In my constituency, the Sirisia, Chwele-Lwakhakha Road is bad. Hon. Speaker, you know there are very many trucks there because it is the exit from Uganda to Mombasa.
