  • 2 Dec 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I will try to be careful but the truth of the matter is that the allegations were made against Kenyans and that is how we were quoted. I can go further and say that even when the Pope was here, he told us that we take care of corruption and protect it like sugar. view
  • 2 Dec 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, what I said was in the media. It was on Cable News Network (CNN), British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and in the newspapers. It is not a joke. I am not saying that Kenyans steal or have a school which offers degrees in stealing. It was said and even when the Pope was in the country--- view
  • 2 Dec 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, let me use the words “it was alleged.” However, corruption in this country is coming to this level. The President has confessed that corruption in this country is beyond repair and he needs Kenyans to assist him. We should not just criticize the action of stealing children and not shout about losing Kshs200 million. If those children had a chance to grow up in this country, maybe they The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate. view
  • 2 Dec 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, as I said from the beginning, I do not know whether I will support, reject or abstain from voting on this Report. I hope that those who will be given this Report to implement will give us a true report at the end of the day. Those who are involved should not only be jailed but hanged. view
  • 17 Nov 2015 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am one of the people who have been victimized by the orders of Maj. Nkaissery. For the Chairperson to say that Mr. Ngirachu was not arrested is false. The Cabinet Secretary wrote a letter while he was in the USA and ordered the Inspector-General and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to arrest me. Is it the work of the Cabinet Secretary to order for people to arrest others yet there are people who have been assigned that work? I would like the Chairperson to clarify that. view
  • 10 Nov 2015 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. With all due respect to my leader, he mentioned voting machines across the Floor. Given that Sen. Boy Juma Boy is seated there, is he part of the voting machines? view
  • 10 Nov 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, it causes me great pain to see that when the country is bleeding, and foreigners like the Americans are here--- view
  • 10 Nov 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I meant in this country not the House. Foreigners are telling us that corruption has gone out of control. Instead of Sen. Kagwe – whom I respect very much together with his late father-in-law, whom I know he got some teaching from because he could not be corrupted – standing before us to deny that there is corruption in this country? He goes ahead to say that there is corruption in CORD--- view
  • 10 Nov 2015 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, he said that there are thieves in CORD. view
  • 10 Nov 2015 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I am trying to make sure that the records of this House remain intact, because it is a House of records. In your ruling you asked Sen. Kagwe to substantiate. He just sat down without substantiating his allegations. Not a single name. I am in CORD. view
