  • 6 Aug 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. From the outset, I want to support the Motion and denounce the directive which was given by the Government that all goods must be transported through the SGR. In the first place, it appears this railway line was never thought of properly. It was done in a hurry. We do not know what the agreement said, but it was done in a lot of secrecy. It is high time as leaders we demanded to know the contents of the agreement between the governments of China and Kenya. Two, if we are going to force ... view

  • 2 Jul 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I beg to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development: (i) whether he is aware that Voi Railway Station is the third largest Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) station in the country that is serving thousands of local and international passengers visiting several tourist attractions in the area; such as the Tsavo East and West National Parks, and is the gateway to Tanzania; and, (ii) whether he could consider establishing a stop-over of the afternoon passenger express train at Voi Railway Station so as to offer services to the many passengers who are ... view
  • 24 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for the opportunity to contribute to the President’s Address. At the outset, I support it and I want to make a few remarks. One of them is about the state of the economy of the country. All of us are aware that the economy is not doing well. It is not true because people do not have money in their pockets. Secondly, many businesses are closing down because money is not in circulation. The point that our economy is doing well is not true. We need to work harder to ensure those things which ... view
  • 24 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: that everybody is taken on board so that we do not end up with a situation where you promise our children iPads but are delivered six years down the line. I want to add on the debts in this country. I think they are becoming unmanageable. We must stop borrowing in this country if we are to develop. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support. view

  • 9 Oct 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I wish to support the Report of the Pan-African Parliament. It is a good report. We all need to support it because we are part and parcel of the Pan-African Parliament. I support the Report. view
  • 29 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I oppose this amendment. Betting and gambling have destroyed families in this country, especially our children. Children have taken school fees and used it to bet. We must stop this menace. I oppose the amendment. view
  • 11 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I wish to support this Motion because of its importance. view
  • 11 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: One, we need to look more at the prevention services than treatment. Over the years, cancer has been a big problem in this country. I suggest that we should have more centres in the country. We should have one centre in the former provincial headquarters, so that our people can be served within their locality instead of all of them travelling to Nairobi for the same treatment. view
