Speaker, I beg to move the following Motion:- THAT, this House adopts Sessional Paper No.1 of 2015 on the National Policy on Elimination of Child Labour, laid on the Table of the House on Wednesday, August 19th, 2015. I take this opportunity to give you the background of this Policy Paper. First, the Constitution of Kenya defines a child as an individual who has not attained the age of 18 years and protects children from child labour, which at times assumes other forms including slavery, servitude, forced labour and trafficking.
