  • 2 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, we were summoned, as senior politicians from that area by the Office of the President and we agreed that, that particular farm, namely, Rose Farm, be reverted to the Ministry of Agriculture for research purposes. We were all there and hon. ole Ntimama was there! view
  • 2 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I said, and I repeat, that some political activists went there and incited the moran community. But in the meeting that we held at the Office of the President, all senior politicians were there and Mr. ole Ntimama was there! view
  • 19 May 2011 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Forestry and Wildlife:- (a) whether he is aware that there are two cess/collecting points on the road leading to Menengai Crater in Nakuru County and, if so, whether both are authorized by the Ministry; and, (b) whether he could apply part of the levies to maintain the roads, which are used by tourists. view
  • 19 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, while I appreciate and thank the Minister for answering my Question, I do not agree with his answer to part (b) of the Question. Therefore, I request that he goes to the ground and verifies whether the area he has referred to has, indeed, been murrammed. Nothing has been done on the ground. view
  • 19 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I was saying that I appreciate the answer given by the Minister to part (a) but, on part (b), there is nothing on the ground which has been done by his Ministry. So, I request that he accompanies me, so that we can go there and verify that fact. Nothing has been done on that road, and it is in a deplorable condition. There is no vehicle which can go beyond the gate. view
  • 19 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Ministry collects a lot of revenue from that gate. At the same time, many visitors are unable to get to the peak of the Menengai Crater. Could the Minister consider allocating more funds to construct that road, so that visitors can access the forest with ease thus raising more revenue? view
  • 18 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, while I appreciate the work being done by the Ministry of Fisheries Development on the ground, I would like to request the Minister to find a way of accounting for that fund that belongs to farmers. This is because in my constituency, I have seen some officers from the Ministry go on the ground to give assignments, but they do not pay the workers who dig the ponds. view
  • 18 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to ask the Prime Minister whether this country has enough military personnel to man and protect our territory considering the various invasions we have had in recent times. If it is possible, could he tell this House and the nation at large the kind of personnel they have deployed at our borders to protect our people. The information we have is that there are few Administration Police (AP) officers manning our border. Is it the responsibility of the AP, the General Service Unit (GSU) or the army to take care of our borders? view
  • 17 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to ask the Minister whether she is aware that the Head of State had given a deadline for all the IDPs in the Republic to be resettled by end of April. We are now past April; what measure or step is she taking to make sure that all the IDP camps in this Republic are destroyed? view
  • 17 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to ask the Minister of State for Special Programmes whether she is aware that there was a directive by the Head of State, while in Eldoret, to make sure that all the IDPs in Republic are resettled and IDP camps in the Republic are cleared by the end of April? Now we are in May and there are still some IDP camps in this Republic. What measure is the Ministry taking, or has taken, to make sure that all the IDPs are resettled in the Republic? view
