Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this chance to contribute to these dear amendments. I support them fully. The situation in our country is that the majority has been denied… This time calls on us to come up with very good laws for this country. Hon. Speaker, there are three issues I will touch on, but before I do that, I would like to assure the Opposition that Kenyans, this time round, will not fight. It is because we have matured enough. We can only argue in Parliament and not go to the physical part of it. The presidency ...

and clumsy. However, if we were to have any good method of transporting all the 290 Forms 34B to the national tallying centre, that would be the correct thing to do. Then when there is discrepancy between the electronic and the original one, it is common sense that the original one is the correct thing because the scanned copy is from the original. It becomes obvious that we should go by the original copy, which is the copy from the polling station. I also want to touch a bit on the composition of the Commission. There is a time I ...

transmission to the constituency to declare the Member of Parliament a winner. The same thing should happen to the election of the President. So, they should wait for the physical part before declaring results. I support this Bill. As politicians, we should be sensitive about our country and make sure that we guide the country inside Parliament through argument. We should not take our country in the wrong direction. Demonstrations are not good for this country. We are not giving a very good example if we go that direction. I request the Members of the Opposition to come to Parliament ...

Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this chance to contribute to this Motion. I have no doubt in my mind that President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta won this election and that is common to many people. Even if we ignore the forms that were not signed, we could have given a margin of error of about 5 per cent and still conclude this was a fair election; 95 per cent confidence level. Therefore, I know there was a scheme to deny Kenyans the president they want. That is why when the Opposition side was preparing for elections, they said that ...

The leader of the Opposition staged a coup and he thinks he has succeeded. It is very hard moving to the next stage of demonstration. He is trying to force constitutional disorder in this country. That is why he is calling for a demonstration every Tuesday. I want to tell him that this country is more important than him. He has been tolerated so much. At the end of the day, you will find that he is radicalising so many people. If you hear the way the young Member of Parliament talked to our President, you can see somebody who ...

who are radicalised are Members of Parliament like Hon. Simba Arati and the Governor for Mombasa. We are giving them a very big room to keep on radicalising other Kenyans. At the end of the day, we will have a very bad country. He is acting like a terrorist in this country because some people will be killed in those kinds of demonstrations. Many people have been killed from the same movement. This is the right time to deal with the issue once and for all.

The Leader of the Majority Party explained to us that he was in ODM that time when they organised how to remove Mr. Kivuitu who was the Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Kenya (ECK). That was not enough. The person who became the Chair is Mr. Isaack Hassan. The person who wanted to be the chair was Mr. ole Kaparo but the leader of the Opposition preferred Isaack Hassan. He also put Mr. James Oswago to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who was somebody from his area so that they could do ukarabati with elections. When they failed ...
