  • 15 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me an opportunity to support this important Motion. Fistula is a very common disease affecting women. Most of them are in the village. They do not know what to do. It is becoming a very dangerous disease. It high time we took some of the things we discuss here seriously. Like HIV and cancer, fistula is a very serious disease, and we need to be serious about it. We also need to create awareness amongst our people. While in my constituency, I heard people talk about a disease but they gave it ... view
  • 15 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporarily Deputy Speaker for the correction. The Government needs to establish clinics to create awareness of this condition. Most people affected by this condition fear coming out to explain to the community their condition. Once we create awareness and establish clinics in all counties, it will help the affected people. Our communities will know more about this condition. view
  • 15 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: It is also good for us to set aside money through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) so that, as Members of Parliament, we act in our constituencies. This is a serious condition and we need to be serious about it. view

  • 1 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this important Motion. It is very sad when we see people going round and destroying our forests and we are not standing guard to take part in conserving our forests. As a Member of Parliament, I take this chance to ... view
  • 1 Aug 2018 in National Assembly: them on the importance of forests. If we can take the responsibility as Members, go out to our communities and tell them the importance of forests… I was watching news last night and I saw people talking about cutting down trees. This is a serious issue but sometimes we take it lightly and try to use our forests for politics, which is not good. The ministry has enough money to do a lot, because what they are doing is not enough. The forest I am talking about is 50,000 hectares and it is manned by less than 20 personnel. That ... view
  • 25 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to join my colleagues to support the Motion of installing CCTV cameras in our schools. I take this opportunity to support it because it is very important and I can say it is long overdue. In the constituency I come from of Kaiti, I had a case whereby some boys burnt a school and it took a long time to locate or get evidence of those boys. However, if we had CCTV cameras in that school, it could have given us shorter time or period to identify those boys. ... view
