We have one unit at the border of Masaba District; one at the borders of Enemi and the other at Abom in Bondo. Mr. Speaker, Sir, if the Questioner wants me to take him round to those units, I am ready to take him there, but I do not know how that will translate into cattle-rustling in Kisumu Town East Constituency. But I am ready to take him to those three Anti-Stock Theft Units so that he ... view

  • 30 Apr 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to give the chronology of events on this particular case. It looks like my friend is not aware of certain things which happened. The body was later identified to be that of Mr. Kunda Mutua Nzioka who had earlier been reported missing. Due to decomposition of the body, no visible injuries could be seen on it. At the scene, the deceased's National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) contribution card No.0872705 ... view
  • 30 Apr 2008 in National Assembly: It means: "Stay well with the children". So, that is why we are suspecting that the teacher committed suicide. In fact, I would want the hon. Questioner to go through this letter because it is written in his mother tongue, so that he can also advise me on the next move. view
  • 30 Apr 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, that is a very good question. When we take the contents to the Government Chemist, we do not have the capacity to hurry them. We cannot ask them to speed up the exercise because that is not the only case which is awaiting analysis. There are several others. So, we want to give them time to check what the contents are and then, later on, report to us. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we have taken the original letter to the Government Documentation Centre to authenticate whether the handwriting and signature belongs to Mwalimu . After the ... view

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, security as a component is a very sensitive matter. I would also ask my colleagues to assist us to wipe out criminals in our areas. First, we have agreed that we are going to double the intake of the police force. We will also double the intake of the administration police officers (APs). We are also looking for funds to buy new vehicles for our police officers. Security issues must treated as ... view

  • 30 Apr 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am aware that the issue of security is a matter of national concern.
