I rise to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance, Commerce and Budget regarding the implementation status of the report of the Presidential Taskforce on Parastatal Reforms which was presented to H.E. the President on 12th November, 2013. This Report recommended the amalgamation of the Kenya Tourism Board with the Export Promotion Council and the Kenya Investments Authority and Brand Kenya into one agency, which was to be called the Kenya Investment Authority. I would like to register my disappointment that despite the fact that in a House of 67 Members, it had to take a person living with a disability to bring a Bill or an amendment about disabilities.
