This Bill will set a precedent as it will put together a number of laws that relate to carrying out of referenda in this country. It will set a level playing ground. I ask Hon. Yusuf Haji and Hon. Oroo Oyioka. As Members have said, Hon. Yusuf Haji served as a very good Provincial Commissioner in Rift Valley for many years. The Question is directed to the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain why the construction of the Kopere-Meteitei- Timboroa Road is way behind its scheduled completion time, and further state the timelines within which the bridges along the road will also be completed? (ii) What action has the Government taken against public officers who supervised and certified the substandard works done on the road, which have been exemplified by numerous potholes that have led to accidents?   • 1 Dec 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chair. I support the Chair because that amendment is trying to address the issue where the board is trying to compulsorily put Members into arbitration yet they have the option of going out. So, by deleting this section, the board will not belabor itself into an issue that will even be driven into the courts later on. view
