With regard to this amendment that is being withdrawn; the Committee in its deliberation decided that the amendment should be put on the Floor of the House. • 5 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I request the Jubilee Government to accept this. You cannot have a Service which is not effective and efficient. It is ironical for the Chairman to oppose an amendment that is giving Kenyans a better Service in terms of the force. I do not know what these people are up to. This is a serious matter. view

We will be doing a de-service to this country if we allow the demotion of NPSC and put all the powers in the hands of the Cabinet Secretary and the Inspector-General. If there is a good law that was passed by ... view
  • 13 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, the Committee Chairman did not understand what I am talking about. You know, he is the gatekeeper of the NPS in this House. So, I am telling him that we do not want an NPS that does not want to work with NPSC that is taking care of their welfare. That is the only thing I was saying. The exclusive powers of human resources are constitutionally vested in the NPSC. When we transfer those powers to the Cabinet Secretary, are we giving the commission more powers or are we removing the powers that they have to ... view
  • 13 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I would like to send my condolences to the family of hon. Aduma Owuor, who is a good friend of mine. I had called him earlier but I would like to condemn the heinous act that was done to his family. As a country, we must agree that our security system has failed.
