Hon. Speaker, Sir, I find no reason to subject any of the individuals on the list of the proposed nominees for Cabinet Secretaries not to serve. This is individually looking at their resumes and dispositions. The argument being brought here by the people who sat in the Committee that this gracious lady, Phyllis Jepkosgei Kandie was not very presentable shows that what they are trying to tell Kenyans today is not the truth. There is a man who I have nominated in my constituency to sit in my CDF committee who is visually impaired. Does that imply that she is ...

Hon. Speaker, Sir, arguments presented here that are not based on the law, the Standing Orders or any other regulation will not help us. I rise to particularly state the position that the direction that we are taking by communicating a position that by virtue of one being on one side of the House, and I know this has been communicated even from the Chair, you are part of that regime. Thank you, hon. Speaker, Sir. I rise to support this Motion. (sound technical hitch) ---packaging the same information, consistently disseminating the same information to the public, so that it is easily understood what loads of work and achievements are attained. I say this with humility and understanding that the majority of the Members in this House now are new; Perhaps, because of that, you may appreciate the sort of criticism that went to their predecessors, that is those whom you unseated because of propaganda perpetrated mostly by civil society â I do not mean all of them. Hon. Speaker, Sir, I congratulate you and hon. Deputy Speaker. I observed in the last time that a lot of research and work by Members of Parliament on various Motions is lost because they rarely get opportunity because of the longevity of contributions by a few hon. Members. So, it will be in order that we support this Motion; it is possible to make your points in the ...

At this juncture, I would like to laud the role that the Civil Society has played in ensuring provision of services in areas where they have been inaccessible, particularly basic need

Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to conclude with the point that the issue of the Government’s presence has been raised from the Chair this morning. We are here two very important Ministers and also a graduate of the civil society is speaking now.
