  • 27 Jul 2016 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to once again thank Hon. Jude Njomo for bringing this Bill. I come from a county that practices a lot of wheat farming. Our people have been suffering because of the loans and advances they take from the banks in that region. The problem has been the interest rates that the banks just hike at their own will. Once this amendment Bill becomes law, small scale farmers and Small and Medium Enterprises The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. • 6 Jul 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. Before I was cut short by my friend, I was saying that this levy is going to be of immense help to the sugarcane growing farmers. Other than the incentives they were given, the Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill will assist them as far as sugar farming is concerned. I support. view
  • 22 Jun 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I rise to oppose the amendment. The Motion clearly states:- The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 22 Jun 2016 in National Assembly: “THAT, aware that cattle rustling is a major menace and security threat in the South and North Rift regions and other regions in this country---” It also states clearly “other regions”. So, bringing the issue of Meru County is selfish from my sister. I totally oppose the amendments that have been moved. view
  • 9 Jun 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I equally rise to support this Petition. As my colleagues have said, the residents of Ongata Rongai, Kiserian and Ngong are suffering. Should that road be upgraded to a dual carriageway, it will be of importance to the economy of that region and this country. view
