• 2 Oct 2013 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Report. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I think that we all know that it is the responsibility of the county governments to prepare budgets. The Report that is with us today was not done by the relevant Committee, but the Controller of Budget. So, as much as I would want to support this Motion, I will not do it because of a few reasons. The very reason that makes me not support it, is because it is incomplete. view

This Report that is tabled before us today was not prepared by the Committee on Finance, Commerce and Economic Affairs, but by the Controller of Budget. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, there is a recommendation that was done by the relevant Committee. This is recommendation No.6 which talks about investigation. Kagwe, for bringing the Motion and I would like to add my voice in support of it. The fibre optic project was initially meant for rural areas because I know some people were trained five years ago on the fibre optic project. It was meant to connect the rural areas to the urban areas. Therefore, as much as I would want to support the Motion, I would also like to request the Mover to move from county headquarters ... view

Wananchi wa Kenya tunategemea ulinzi bora kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu na ningeomba kama inawezekana sisi viongozi na wananchi wote tuje pamoja kuombea nchi yetu na tuombe Mungu atulinde kwa sababu kuna shida. Tuliona vile wananchi wote, haswa, akina mama na watoto wakiumia jana. Hii inahitaji mkono wa Mungu. Kwa hivyo ningependa kusema kwamba tungetenga siku moja kama viongozi ili tuungane pamoja na kutoa msimamo mmoja kama viongozi wa Kenya na kuomba Mwenyezi Mungu. view

I know that we already have an institution that is able to deal with matters of our people in our country. I am talking today here knowing that under the new Constitution, we have institutions that have the capacity to address our issues.
