  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. The Questioner has clearly made indications that the Government has assisted in cases where there have been incidents of road accidents. Is it in order for the Assistant Minister to try and through back the same problems to the Questioner instead of telling him exactly how the Government was able to assist one case and cannot assist the other one? view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is saying “if the budget allows” and yet it is a message from this House that there is a likelihood of shortage of food. Is that about the budget or it is about prepardness and asking for supplementary money to be able to make sure that the country is able to be fed? view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has stated that they paid the supplier before the computers were delivered to the various schools. Going by the procurement procedures, why did they have to pay ahead of time before the supplies were made to the schools? view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I did ask a particular question to the procurement procedure, and my point was corroborated by Mr. Olago. Why did you break the procurement rules and pay 30 per cent before the goods were delivered? Can you explain to this House why you had to do this? view

  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is acknowledging here that there is an increase in cancer cases all over the country. What is he doing to ensure that, region by region, there is a provision for people to get treated, so that they do not have to travel very far? That is because as they travel, they will encounter serious problems like congestion in the various institutions which have got those facilities? view
  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
  • 7 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am grateful for the response given by the Minister, which tells me that he is seized of this matter. However, I am appalled by the kind of answer that he has given. He wants this House to believe that members of one community are suggesting that they are the only ones who should benefit from that land. That is a sign of lack a balanced investigation. For example, he has said that he is not aware of the threat to my life. view
