  • 3 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, that is the question, but I have December 03, 2008 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 3793 another one. What is the Assistant Minister doing to make sure that those dams are controlled, because those are breeding grounds for hippos? view
  • 2 Dec 2008 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I think the Assistant Minister is not answering the question that he was asked! He was simply asked whether he knows the contractor was blacklisted, and he is giving us some other information which is unnecessary! view
  • 27 Nov 2008 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me this chance. I have just talked to the Minister concerned and as you are aware, this Question has been on the Order Paper for sometime. When I asked this Question, so many things were going on. I would like to state that it has been overtaken by events because there was a directive given and it looks like there is no problem so far. view
  • 26 Nov 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the culture of using Government land meant for development of social amenities and facilities is an act of impunity, especially after what we saw in January, 2008. When will the Minister revoke all such title deeds to ensure that land meant for development is actually used for that particular purpose? view

  • 4 Nov 2008 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Nairobi Metropolitan Development what steps the Ministry has taken, in the interests of decongesting Nairobi City, to expand Thika Road and encourage people to settle in that part of the City. view

  • 4 Nov 2008 in National Assembly: Mr Deputy Speaker, Sir, I think the Assistant Minister has answered the wrong Question. My Question does not talk about giving Nairobi a 24-hour working schedule! Could the Assistant Minister answer Question 290 on the Order paper? view
  • 30 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, is the Minister aware that in some countries in Africa, the cost of bread has not gone up since 1969 and the reason for this is that the various governments have taken it very seriously to feed their people? Could he inform the House what he is doing to subsidise food prices in order to feed Kenyans so that our country does not go hungry? This is because when a country is hungry there is no development. Even Vision 2030 will not be achieved if the country is hungry for that long? view
  • 29 Oct 2008 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, we appreciate the fact that people from northern Kenya are going through so many problems to get passports. What is the Ministry doing to make sure that Kenyans get their passports at birth because getting a passport in Kenya is a very tall order? Everybody is trying to get a passport and I believe it is every Kenyan's right to get a passport. view
