  • 2 Aug 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, for calling me by that name. My common name is Hon. Muluvi. I stand to support this amendment. Employment is a key in the country. Therefore, we support the Senate amendment. Thank you very much. view
  • 2 Aug 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I equally stand to support our Chairlady of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. In my view, what was being intended was to make an opening for land grabbers to come in. As a result, we decided to reject it. Thank you. view
  • 20 Jul 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. Allow me, in support of this Motion, to say the following: One, it is a fact that if fish breeding areas came from the politically correct zones, this Motion which is coming at this time to establish a training institution and a fishing processing plant, would be something of the past. I want to be on record that if fishing was done in Central Kenya or Rift Valley for example, for the last 50 years since our Independence, for sure we would not be talking about this. I, therefore, support Hon. Rose for bringing ... view
  • 22 Jun 2016 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I thank you very much for the opportunity. I oppose the amendment. What Hon. Cheptumo had done had included other regions. The reason I did not bring an amendment is because I thought Kitui County and other regions are captured. To single out Meru County and leave out counties like Tana River and Kitui is being selfish. It is unacceptable. I oppose. view

  • 23 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I stand to oppose the Petition. Is it in order for the people of Meru and Mount Kenya region to seek to have roads in the region tarmacked while in counties like Kitui, Makueni and Machakos not a single tarmac road has been done by this administration? view
  • 23 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: I want to be on record--- view
  • 17 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Speaker, for giving me the opportunity. I want to be on record. When the President of the Republic, Uhuru Kenyatta, visited Kitui last year, in the presence of Hon. Mutava Musyimi, I told him that it does not matter because in the fullness of time, the people of Kitui will get that road tarmacked. We are not begging! We pay taxes like anybody else. It is the responsibility of the Government to construct roads. It is not an individual’s responsibility. I want to tell Mr. Munuve that it does not matter whether he agrees with ... view
  • 16 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, the issue is that if corruption has to be fought, we must regularise boards because they do not give room to the executives to run organisations. There are boards which literally sit in their boardrooms from January to December. They regulate procurement, get into corruption of the organisations and even manage the affairs of the corporations from there. I want it to be on record that corruption must be fought from all angles. One of the ways corruption has manifested itself is through the boards which run corporations. They should give the executives the latitude to ... view
