  • 1 Dec 2016 in National Assembly: them. We want even the village administrators to know exactly what is happening and let the public know. When somebody wants to sell land, the family members must be there because that is what the law we passed in the previous Parliament says. You cannot sell property without your family members knowing. I know there are so many cases in Laikipia and other parts of this country concerning that matter. You go to the land offices to do something and you are told, “I am very sorry this is not your land.” You get shocked because you are sure you ... view
  • 23 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to say something about refugees. Kenyans are good people. They welcome everybody who comes their way. However, we also get problems because when refugees come here, they do many things. They use some people to buy property. If you go to Eastleigh or Zimmerman, you will find so many refugees and yet the Government seems not to be aware of what is happening. I am asking our Government to come up with the right law. We must respect human rights. We must respect refugees because we do not know ... view
  • 23 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: I rise to support the Bill, but I request our Government and intelligence officers to identify the refugees in our country. They should know what they are doing, where they stay and whether they are getting out of the refugee camps to do other businesses. We keep these people The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 23 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: at Dadaab and we have been hearing many incidents about bombing and other happenings. This is not good for us. We need to protect our country. We need to protect our people, so that Kenyans can enjoy their rights. We do not know why visitors are taking our jobs. If they come as doctors, it is okay. I know some Ugandan doctors who were working here. Foreigners can work in this country if they are qualified knowing that they will go back home one day. They will help our people and at the same time get their daily bread, but ... view
  • 12 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman for giving me this opportunity to support this amendment because it is very important for our forces. We know that they are disciplined. We also do not want to take chances because if we do not pass the amendment, it will give leeway and anybody can come with malice and make things bad. I support the amendment. Thank you. view
  • 11 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: I know nursery schools are the foundation of young children. When children go to nursery schools, they need to pray and have all the facilities. These days, it is very hard for mothers and fathers to be with their children at home. My worry is that so many nursery schools are being taken over by private people. The reason why parents take their children to nursery schools next to primary schools is because they are secure. When a child in primary school goes to school, he or she will go with his or her brother or sister. Children are faced ... view
  • 11 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: They go back to doing what they did not do when they were young. They did not play, they did not mix with other children, so they feel now is the time to do all sorts of things. It is good to think about nursery school teachers and give them support. They need to be paid well as human beings. You pay somebody Kshs3,000, whether they are in the village or not, and you think they are going to take care of your child. There is no pension for those teachers. There are no facilities and equipment for the children ... view
  • 1 Sep 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker for giving me this opportunity to speak on this Motion and the laws we have passed today. We thank God because everybody in this world knows Kenyans are one people. We thank you very much for your kindness and guidance as we do our work in Parliament. I am happy today because our leaders sat down and thought about this country and not themselves. Previously when we did not have strong parties, people would hop from party to party and we would suffer a lot. I am one of the people who suffered. Kenyans must be ... view
  • 1 Sep 2016 in National Assembly: country. Our enemies have nothing to say because tourists still come to this country. People who would laugh at us can now see that this Parliament has grown up. They know we are here to serve our people. Even as we go on recess, we will serve our people and interact with them while engaging in our projects. We would like to request that funds from the National Government Constituencies Development Fund be disbursed so that we can begin working on our projects. I would like to thank our leaders and tell them that we are praying for them. In ... view
  • 1 Sep 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to support this Motion. As I support this Motion, I want to ask the British Government to do something. We do not understand why when our people apply for visas, they must take their applications to Pretoria because they relocated their Nairobi office. If they want Kenyans to support them, they should know that we also want to be supported. We have been working with the UK for a long time. They better bring back their office here and when our people want to go to school in the ... view
