  • 18 May 2021 in Senate: individual and ensure that we settle the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The Dorobo have been ignored. In fact, they are marginalized and they are being marginalized further by not being allowed to settle. Their children do not go to school. They do not access medical services. They do not even access very basic needs. Right now, with COVID-19 issues, I am sure they are suffering a lot. Raila Amolo Odinga in their vision of having a peaceful and united country. We have had a challenge after every general election. Raila Odinga came together in 2018 and in their communicae, they came up with nine issues, notable among them was ethnic antagonism, competition, inclusivity, divisive elections and lack of equity in resource allocation as well as gender, among others. Out of this, there was a taskforce that went round collecting suggestions and opinions from people.
