As at yesterday, there were more than eight personnel within the area trying to take samples and do what they could. However, I would like to request the Ministry to consider sending personnel to Ndoinet Dispensary because there is only one officer there and to gazette Kiptororo Dispensary. • 19 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise to seek a Ministerial Statement from the Ministry of Health. In the last three days, two women have died of a mysterious disease and several others hospitalised in Kuresoi Village of Kiptororo Location of Kuresoi Constituency. The symptoms of the disease include severe headache, convulsion and fever. All the victims die within a day. I, therefore, request a Ministerial Statement, very urgently, from the Ministry of Health, to explain the cause of the deaths and the action they will take, very quickly, to contain the disease. Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, for the benefit of the House, this is the particular section which intends to give the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission (KACC) an option to appoint a receiver to manage properties on issues of mere suspicion. • 13 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, the provisions relating to the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act be amended- (k) By deleting the proposed Section 56B. This is fairly straightforward. What informed us in trying to have this particular section deleted is that, the amendment he is proposing to bring will be removing the fact that it should be mandatory for any crime to be investigated before civil proceedings are brought forth. The proposal is saying that, if you are successful against the Commission, costs will not be awarded.
