The Government has to revert to irrigation and make sure that so much funding is diverted towards that direction, so that we can ensure that our people are food secure. Nikiendelea kuunga mkono, ningependekeza ya kwamba wiki hii inayokuja ni wiki ambayo tunatakikana kukumbuka kule tulipotoka na kule tunakoelekea, haswa kwenye maswala ya kikatiba na shughuli zile ambazo tumepatiwa kwenye Bunge hili la kifahari, Bunge la Kumi na Moja, ili tuweze kuenda kuhamasisha wananchi wote katika hali ya upendo. Nikiendelea kuunga mkono, ningependekeza ya kwamba wiki hii inayokuja ni wiki ambayo tunatakikana kukumbuka kule tulipotoka na kule tunakoelekea, haswa kwenye maswala ya kikatiba na shughuli zile ambazo tumepatiwa kwenye Bunge hili la kifahari, Bunge la Kumi na Moja, ili tuweze kuenda kuhamasisha wananchi wote katika hali ya upendo. • 2 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. I rise to second the amendments of the health Report. For the Departmental Committee on Health to have come up with this Report, it had to visit the counties and appreciate what is happening there. view
• 2 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: I wish to draw the attention of my colleagues to Articles 95 and 96 of the Constitution. Article 95 is very specific. It talks about representation of the people by the Members of the National Assembly. The Senate represents counties. view

Whereas the Senate is responsible for taking care of the counties, we have the primary responsibility of making sure that health facilities and services are delivered to our people. • 2 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, the criteria was established in a hurry and the costing of our health services was not done. This was done in a hurry. This is what the medical people would refer to as “a dumping syndrome”. A dumping syndrome will not solve our health problems. view
