For example, not so many people are aware that the loans which go to the constituency level specifically to the groups; that is the special scheme that is there for the women groups at the constituency level do not attract any interest rates. • 5 Dec 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there are 210 women and a few men who are actually volunteers in terms of educating people concerning this WEDF. In fact, prior to that, there was a pilot programme which was done and it involved only 65 constituencies and we saw there was a big improvement in terms of what the volunteers were doing and in terms of women accessing these funds. So, in Ndhiwa, you have one volunteer who is paid by the WEDF. That is more than enough. view
• 4 Dec 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, whereas I appreciate that our colleague, Mr. Midiwo, had very good intentions because of the frustrations that young people are facing--- They are facing these frustrations all over the place and more so in the constituencies that some of come from - the border constituencies. There are too many restrictions and people stay up to three years without getting their identity cards.
