  • 9 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me the opportunity. As the Leader of the Majority Party was moving, I thought he left out a very bright spot of what happened during this session which is that one of us, Hon. Isaack Mwaura, left the bachelor’s club and he is now a senior member of the society like some of us who have been in that institution for 25 years. I wish to congratulate Hon. Mwaura except that I must say when I saw Hon. Mwaura walk in on Tuesday, I thought he was far too strong, far too ... view

Even as we do that, the Government must also accept its fair share of the blame. We do want to behave if alcohol is only a preserve of the rich. It cannot be. When you go to Uganda, you do not see the kind ... view
  • 8 Jul 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I thank you. Mine is very brief. As you make your ruling, I would request my colleagues to have confidence in the abilities of committees. I am saying this because as Public Accounts Committee (PAC), we have asked for a special audit on this matter and the CS, among other people, is expected to appear before us. Honestly, if what we saw yesterday is the way we expect to conduct proceedings, then this House will lose its meaning. As Parliament, we need to have confidence in the abilities of committees to discharge their roles. If we are ... view
