  • 10 Dec 2014 in National Assembly: course the Fukushima which happened a few years ago but there are several nuclear energy incidents that are not reported. The biggest problem of all is what to do with the nuclear waste. I think it is a worthwhile process but it is a process that we have to embark on with extreme caution, being cognizant of the fact that one of the most emotive issues in Kenya today still remains the issue of land. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, it is for this reason that I am proposing this amendment; that we go ahead to adopt the Motion in that ... view
  • 9 Dec 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. Indeed, there is no denying that our country is going through extraordinary challenges and it is incumbent upon us, as the body trusted with making laws, to take steps to address this situation. However, even as we go through this process, it is my hope that the amendments that will be brought here will observe strict fidelity to the Constitution. • 2 Dec 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, of course, I respect the decision of the House. I was just wondering, considering what is happening in the country at the moment, would it not have been prudent for this House to reopen debate on this matter? I am just--- view
  • 27 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, while I thank hon. ole Metito, there is a matter which has been pending for quite a while. Sometime back, I raised a very sad issue of a Kenyan who was killed by an American diplomat. Following the incident, the diplomat left the country immediately. The late Haji Lukindo left an expectant and unemployed wife with several children. Part of the pleadings pending before this House is if the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Defence and Foreign Relations could intercede with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so that the family of the departed person could ... view
  • 27 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, as a House, on a matter in which a Kenyan is affected in such a manner, we should not appear to be glossing over the matter. Could the Acting Leader of Majority Party undertake the matter of the late Haji Lukindo, who was killed by an American Diplomat, who fled the country hardly 24 hours after the accident? view
  • 27 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you. view
