With all these funds channeled towards alleviating unemployment of the youth, could the Minister give us the substantive number of youths, courtesy of this programme, who have got employment today? To what percentage has the unemployment rate among the youth decreased because of such programmes? view

On the same note, it is in the public domain that the Ministry of Lands has commissioned an in-depth investigation into the land issues in Lamu County. Would I be in order, with your indulgence, to request you to defer this Question and order the Ministry concerned to table the report of the findings to show whether such investigations have been done? view
• 3 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order. My point of order has not been responded to by the Assistant Minister. Time and again, we have heard the Minister for Lands; hon. Mr. James Orengo, say that he has put on hold any issuance of new titles in Lamu County because his Ministry is undertaking an investigation. If that investigation has been concluded, would it not be justice for such a Report to be tabled in this House so that, at lease, we make informed decisions concerning land issues in Lamu County? view
• 2 Aug 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the World Food Programme (WFP) has promised to continue with the School Feeding Programme in the arid zones because of the current famine situation even during this August holiday. But they have requested that teachers stay in school to at least facilitate this programme. What has the Ministry done in this regard? view
