Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I do not mind the proposed amendment but the registration of persons falls under the Principal Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government and that is in the executive order, so he is the accounting officer.

The amendments done by the Senate are welcome since they are intended to streamline the operations of the county governments and especially the county assemblies, meaning there will be benefits for the county executives and county assemblies. The Bill provides for how the offices of the speaker and deputy speaker become vacant. It also provides for the removal of the speaker. It also creates the process for recalling an MCA.
