Massacre has taken place and we need, as a House, to condemn very strongly, this massacre that has terminated the lives of innocent Kenyans. Children have been brutally murdered and this should not be tolerated in this country. Life in the Turkana region is threatened. It is the responsibility of the Government to make sure that peace is restored in the area. Social economic activities in region have been disrupted and, therefore, the people in that region are desperate. With regard to our borders, ... view
  • 5 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, as I thank the Minister for that satisfactory response, I would like him to indicate to this House what measures he is taking with regard to the poor quality of work being executed by contractors in many parts of this country. For example, there is a road in Lari Constituency, from Gichingo to Kijabe, where Kshs10 million was spent just the other day and yet it is in a very deplorable condition. view
  • 5 May 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Appreciating the good work that the Minister is doing, of revoking title deeds on grabbed land, could he assure this House that such land will not be re-allocated and new title deeds issued to unscrupulous people? view
  • 5 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Minister has clearly informed this House and the country at large that there was power failure at Kiambere. What corrective action is the Ministry taking to rectify this very serious anomaly that has affected the entire industry? Lastly, shrewd businessmen have already increased the pump prices on this product. What action is the Minister going to take because the product has become almost unreachable in the motor industry? view
  • 4 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister inform the House the amount of money the Government has continued to spend on the non-performing entities? view
  • 4 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, what special or corrective measures is the Minister taking to make sure that pregnant mothers who go to Government hospitals do not share delivery beds? view
  • 4 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, while thanking the Assistant Minister for doing a starling job in terms of settling the IDPs, could he give a clear clarification, or shed some light, on the issue of fake IDPs allegedly being accommodated in various camps in the country? view
  • 4 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, while commending the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance for the bold Statement, I would like him to inform this House the effective efforts he has taken to make sure that illegal collections that have been effected by these cartels are returned immediately to the unsuspecting Kenyans? view
  • 4 May 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, let me also express my sincere thanks to the Mover of this Motion, hon. Mbau. He has brought the Motion at a critical time. In my view, it is also timely because the common mwanachi in this country cannot afford to pay some of the bills, particularly when they have lost their loved ones. view
  • 4 May 2011 in National Assembly: You will realize that the life expectancy of our people has gone down because the cost of living in this nation has gone beyond the expectation of our people. Therefore, this Motion is going to address some of those concerns. Inflation has worsened the situation. Funeral expenses have gone beyond the reach of the common man in this country. The cost of coffins, funeral expenses and the mortuary bills have become a nightmare to a majority of the people in this country. You will also note that there are even cartels which have started a very lucrative business of stealing ... view
