  • 7 Oct 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me the chance to support this Bill. This Bill has come at the right time because we have seen so many families suffer, especially at this time when the value of properties is rising up. Within our area, a person is forced to travel all the way from Makuyu to Nyeri if his property is beyond Kshs3 million. That has seen so many families being disinherited. By passing this Bill, we shall be doing a very good deal to the poor of this country. Just last week, I was surprised when I went to ... view

  • 30 Sep 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this chance to contribute to this very important Bill. I would like to speak about these laws which are affecting NACADA. I come from an area or county where alcohol has affected most of our youth. When we were given permission to go and pour out that broth, we did it. But we still found out that we need to give our counties more powers so that they can licence bars and know the number of bars in each particular plot and town. • 17 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this chance to contribute to this very important Report on the Status of Implementation of House Resolutions. Being a Member of the Committee, we have faced many challenges. As the Chair has stated, we invited Cabinet Secretaries to our meetings and they failed to come. This House passed its own budget in this financial year ... view

  • 23 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. I support the Petition. When you go to weighbridges like Mariakani, Mlolongo and the newly established one along the Thika Superhighway, you can see clearly that they are conduits of corruption because for every kilogramme that is overweight they charge Kshs1,000. That is a very high demand and they have made the prices of goods in this country to be higher due to corruption. view

  • 22 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker, for giving me this moment to support this Bill. At the Departmental Committee on Health, at first we declined to support this Bill, but as an individual, I have come to think about it after seeing the Mover moving it and elaborating on it with the help of the Member for Taita. I have searched my soul and have thought of supporting it. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
