  • 2 Jun 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security: (a) when he will revive the stalled construction of office accommodation at Emali Patrol Base; (b) what plans he has to provide housing for officers at the Patrol Base; and, (c) whether he could consider upgrading the Base to a Police Station. view
  • 2 Jun 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Assistant Minister for the answer he has given. However, Emali Police Patrol Base houses six officers in two uni-huts. It is not very healthy for six officers to share two uni-huts. So, I would like him to tell us whether he is satisfied that these officers are living in an environment that is conducive to delivery of service. view
  • 2 Jun 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister tell us how much money he has allocated to this patrol base, and for what facilities has the money been allocated? view
  • 28 May 2009 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to thank the Minister for the answer. The existence of good roads is an important ingredient for the social development of this country. This is the only road for the people of Nguu Division of Nzaui District. The Minister has accepted that this road is in bad shape and becomes impassable. Could he consider upgrading that drift to a bridge instead of just improving on it? view
  • 28 May 2009 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, although the Minister says the drift is okay, the approaches to that drift are bad. I doubt whether Kshs209,000 can do the work that is required. This road becomes impassable during the rainy season. People in the division remain marooned there. That is why I am asking the Minister to consider improving this bridge so that the road becomes passable all year round whether it is raining or not. view
  • 20 May 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) why the death gratuity in respect of two clerical officers, Ms. Asumpta Ndambuki - P/No.1990135188 who died on 2nd August 2002 and Ms. Fillister Ndunge Ngumbi - P/No.199081177 who died on 26th December 2003 has not been paid to their next of kin; and, (b) when their next of kin will be paid. view
  • 20 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to commend the Assistant Minister for giving a fairly straightforward answer on the face of it. However, looking at this Question, you will notice that these two officers died a long time ago. Even the answer the Assistant Minister is giving now does not say that they have paid those officers. Those are officers who worked very well for the Government, and you will realize that the documents the Assistant Minister is saying have not been supplied were supplied a long time ago to his office. In the case of Asumpta, the relevant documents ... view
  • 20 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister tell this House when the documents in respect of Asumpta were sent to the Treasury? I will be grateful if he could give me a copy to confirm whether this has happened. view
  • 12 May 2009 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) why the 392 land owners of Yikivumbu adjudication section in Nguu Division, Nzaui District, whose land was surveyed in 2006, have not been issued with title deeds; and, (b) when he will issue the title deeds. view
  • 12 May 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am amazed by that answer because in 2006, the Minister, through his officers in the district, went round this piece of land and registered those squatters and gave them sheets of paper indicating the pieces of land that they own. Could the Minister confirm whether that land would be solely for 392 Yikivumbu families? view
