7 Jun 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, this Question was deferred last time I asked it. It was the ruling of the Chair that I receive the answer, because it was bulky, two days before the Question. However, as it is now, I have not received the written reply.

19 May 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also want to thank the Minister for the answer. However, I want him to clarify one fact which I can raise without any fear of contradiction, that most students who want to register for exams are undergoing many problems. They wait for a long time before they can get birth certificates. Has that been brought to your attention? If it has, what is your Ministry doing to address that major problem to allow those students to register?

I want to know what steps the Ministry took, or is taking, to establish the cause of this big variation, because other than the Committee, the Ministry itself must tell us why this variation occurred. The Ministry has a system it can use to establish why the variation occurred. What is the Ministry doing ...

5 May 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I thank the Minister for that comprehensive Statement. I wish to point out a few areas of concern. She has rightly put it that food products that are coming in or containerized cargo is being scanned. We realize that items like electronics - and we are high consumers of electronics from Japan, motor vehicles and other machinery - may not have a system of checking whether they carry radioactive materials. Those can actually come and affect the users here in Kenya. What is the Ministry doing to ensure that machinery, electronics and mostly vehicles, are ...

5 May 2011 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. It is in regard to the second question. I had asked for a clarification from the Minister. I feel it has not been properly addressed. If you can allow me, I will re-phrase it so that I can clear the air. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I talked about machinery which is coming in. You realize that some of it does not come as cargo. Mostly, vehicles just drive out of the ships and into the port and yards where they are taken by the owners. My question is: How ...
