Dr Rachael Kaki Nyamai

Racheal, a trained teacher surprised many when she defied the Wiper Democratic Party wave in her region to easily win the Kitui South parliamentary seat. Charity Ngilu has been her inspiration since she was in school. In her term of service she would like to push for improved standard of education, adequate water, food security and equitable distribution of CDF in Kitui South.

During the Conference, Kenya pledged US$2 million towards the Fourth Round Replenishment of the Global Fund for the period 2014 to 2016. Although, we are aware that health has been devolved, HIV/AIDS is still an international programme meaning that it is still being handled from the national level. There are structures that exist even within our constituencies where we have the Constituency AIDS Control Committees. If money is meant for a certain function and it does not reach the said beneficiary, Treasury has authority to recover the money; especially money which was meant for Level 5 hospitals in the 2013/2014 Financial Year.
